Next Register (NR4) – Battery Replacement Guide
This article explains how to replace the battery in a Next Register (NR4) device. Follow the steps below to safely remove and install the battery.
Battery Replacement Instructions

Remove the Battery Cap
Use a large screwdriver to loosen the battery cap.
Rotate the cap counterclockwise to remove it. -
Remove the Battery
Pull the battery straight out from the compartment. -
Disconnect the Battery Connector
Carefully unplug the connector attached to the old battery. -
Connect the New Battery
Insert the connector from the new battery into the device. -
Reinsert the Battery
Place the new battery back into the battery compartment. -
Reinstall the Battery Cap
Position the battery cap back onto the unit and rotate it clockwise.
Continue rotating until the alignment arrows meet, indicating the cap is fully secured.
