How to Switch a Next Century Transmitter from Encoded to Pulse Mode

How to Switch Your Transmitter from Encoded to Pulse Mode

If your transmitter is currently set to Encoded and you need to switch it to Pulse, follow these simple steps. The process takes just a couple of minutes and requires no tools.
*The following instructions can be used to switch from Pulse to Encoded as well. Just make sure the LED is RED instead of BLUE.

 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Transmitter

  • Locate your transmitter device.
  • Press the front tab to open the cover.

2. Locate the Red Button

  • Look at the top of the transmitter, just above the battery compartment.
  • You’ll see a red button—this is used to change the mode.

3. Enter Configuration Mode

  • Press and hold the red button for 5 seconds, then release.
  • A red LED light will illuminate in the center of the transmitter, indicating it’s in configuration mode.

4. Switch to Pulse Mode

  • Press the red button once.
  • The LED will change from red to blue, confirming the transmitter is now set to Pulse mode.

5. Close the Transmitter

  • Once the LED turns blue, no further action is needed.
  • Close the transmitter cover securely.

✅ Success!

Your transmitter is now configured to Pulse mode and ready to use.
