How to Replace Your Inovonics Transmitter

This guide provides clear, step‑by‑step instructions for opening, wiring, and resetting a Inovonics transmitter (EN1501) transmitter, along with next steps if additional help is needed.

Step 1: Open the Transmitter
Locate the Inovonics transmitter (EN1501) and confirm the unit label matches the corresponding unit.
For example, a transmitter labeled “A-101” should be installed in Unit A-101

Press the tab on the side opposite the unit label. The cover will pop open without any tools.
Inside you will see a CR123 battery and a blue or green connector block seated on two small pins.

 


Step 2: Remove the Blue/Green Block
Pull up on the blue block and it should detach from the Transmitter so the meter is no longer connected to the device (No tools needed)
The meter should have the block attached to the wiring located at the end of the wiring:



Step 3: Install the Block on the Replacement Transmitter

  1. If the replacement transmitter came with its own block: remove it first by pulling up and out.
  2. Take the block from the meter wiring and align it over the two pins on the new transmitter.
  3. Press the block firmly straight down until it sits flush with the circuit board.



You have just completed replacing the Inovonics Transmitter with a replacement device.
