Unboxing your Next Century Submetering System
What’s in Your Box?
Hey there! Thanks for ordering your meter reading system from Submeter Solutions, we appreciate it. Now that you have your package I bet you are wondering what’s in your box. Well we’ve got that covered, just look below to understand the contents of the box that will make your life [easier].
Video Walk Through
Phase 1 (Couplings + Spacer Tubes)
If you are a new construction property, these spacer tubes and couplings pictured below are the first thing to take out of your box! They are for the rough in phase of plumbing, to space the pipes appropriately for when the meters are placed later in the process. You and your plumber will appreciate the headache these will eliminate in the future!
Phase 2 (Meters + Transceivers)
The next step in the process is the actual meter + transceiver combination! The most important part of the process. These are the submeters your plumber/ electrician will install on your utility line that will measure the usage for your units. These can be read directly by looking at the meter head or online (will explain below). Make sure to place these in the correct unit. We’ve taken the liberty to program them for you at our office and they are set for a specific unit based on the list you provided us. You will know where to place each by the label on the front of the transceiver
Phase 3 (Central Electronics)
But wait… there’s more!
The next portion of your box is the most exciting if you ask me. This is your wireless reading system! Yes you read that correctly, wireless! The transceiver + gateway (pictured below) will work together to transmit your meter readings online to a cloud system. You’ll be able to monitor your usage from anywhere! Make sure you follow the instruction manual for setup to get this connected and ready to help.
