If you're working with the Next Century TR4 Transmitter and need to wire it properly, this guide will provide you with clear and concise steps to ensure everything is connected correctly. Below are detailed instructions, complemented with images for better understanding.
Begin by locating the transmitter and identifying the unit label. This label should match the unit number where the transmitter will be installed. For example, a transmitter labeled “A-101” should be installed in Unit A-101 only.
To open the transmitter:
Once open, you will see either three pins or a blue block inside, next to the blue battery.
Next, carefully remove the blue block located on the right side by pulling it off. It's recommended to use a pair of needle-nose pliers for this task. You do not need to unscrew the small flatheads at the top of the blue block to remove it.
Now, locate the gray cable on your meter, which has another blue (or green) block at its end. This block should replace the one you removed in the previous step.
To install the new block:
Carefully thread the gray cable down through the hole located at the bottom of the transmitter, just below the battery.
To confirm that the wiring is correct:
If you do not see the lights, wait for 10 seconds and try again. If the lights still do not appear, please notify the Submeter Solutions Service Team by submitting a ticket at www.submetersolutions.com/ticket.
